This is a beautiful, fascinating,
yet vastly underrated family (IMHO!). Its 7 subfamilies and 90-120+ genera (depending
upon who is doing the counting!!) make it a challenge second only to the Turridae
in scope, and its nearly endlessly-variable shapes are a true Visual Treat. Every
self-respecting shell collection MUST have at least a few of them!! PLEASE note that
there are a good few unusual specimens here, as well as some lovely sets, which I
think you WILL like!
